Ballistics Clay

ROMA PLASTILINA NO. 1

The Global Choice for Body Armor Testing.

Roma Plastilina No. 1 was established as a ballistic testing clay in 1977. Since then, it has been adopted by military and law enforcement agencies for evaluating body armor and helmets throughout the world. The clay is reliable,  reusable and easy to use.

Approved Standard

Roma Plastilina No. 1 is specified by National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard 0101.07 and ASTM E3004 for ballistics testing.

Quality Control

Ingredients, formulas, and manufacturing processes are closely monitored by trained staff using the highest clay industry standards. Documentation and physical properties of all raw materials are evaluated and inspected at delivery. Certificate of Analysis records are kept with corresponding retained samples of raw materials for a period of not less than two years.

Newly manufactured clay is sequestered for a standardized period. Subsequently, each production lot of material is systematically tested for multiple working characteristic markers and compared with historical data to ensure consistency. Detailed production records and retained samples of all finished goods are preserved for a period of not less than two years.

Certificate of Compliance available by request.
